We made it! Horrible delays at Detroit. We got there at 2:40am, and 6 of us still missed our 5:50 flight. Checking in took forever. We finally left Detroit at 8:25am. Everything after went fairly smooth. Weather here is 70’s, real nice. Reminds me very much of Domincan.

    Love you Jenn!

We survived our first day of construction, except for the deep cut I got in my finger, may have to stitch it up tonight. I’m going to try uploading some pics as soon as I figure out how. The scenery is awesome.

    Hey Jenn,
How’s it going? Does cooper miss me?
We had another gorgeous day today. In the low 80’s, I got some sun today, probably need to use sunscreen tomorrow. We did stucco today, tinted pink! Check this site for pics, I can’t upload myself, one person on staff here chooses the pics to upload. This is really rugged country, different than DR.

    See you soon.

    Love Glenn

    Your bringing one home right???

We finished our houses today and said goodbye to the village. We had an awesome day!! We built 5 houses altogether and all 5 families accepted Christ or rededicated their lives to Him today. A very moving experience for everyone. It was difficult saying goodbye to them. More than one person said they wished they could take one of the little ones home.

Paul and Jane are doing great. I lent my little Canon camera to Jane and that cheap-o battery I bought quit working already. I’m glad I brought so many SD-cards along, I’ve given one away to one of the gals and lent one to Paul because he filled his up. Now he has room for over 1800 pics on his little 4Megapixel camera. Have you heard anything from Huntington?

Well, that’s all for now, time to shower and others are waiting to use the computer.

    Love, Glenn

Can’t wait to see all of the photos! Sounds like you have been working hard. When I returned the camera to your house Thompson immediately started saying “baha!” when we pulled into the driveway! He was very unhappy that you were not there! I will have Dalton send you a message this afternoon. Have a great day!!

Hi! I want you to come on a mission trip like this soon. You won’t believe the things you’ll see. It’s really incredible! I’ll tell you all about it when I get back.

Today we went to a little village of about 15 families, and gave them medicines and showed them the Jesus film. On the way there we got stuck in traffic because they were paving the road. We were told it would be a 4 hour wait so we turned around and decided to take a longer way through bumpy roads. Then our van broke down out in the middle of nowhere and we sat around for an hour or so until another truck could take us to the village. The truck was an open flat bed with rack sides. We all stood in the back as we rode down these twisting mountain roads. It was a blast! On the way back we got real cold because it was late at night (around 11:30).

    See you soon,
    Love, Grandpa

Have you had a look at our itinerary for the trip home? We are leaving the base here at around 3am, then flying out around 7 I think. We have a SEVEN HOUR layover in Houston! We will probably check out the possibility of going out of the airport to do something with all of that time. I’m not sure when we’ll arrive home from Detroit.

    Miss you,

    Love, Glenn

    Check out this website:

I thought of you when I learned about this guy. We have these kits here and I’ve been learning about them this morning. I thought of you because the guy behind this is in his 80’s and the construction techniques might be simple enough for some residents to do.

I’ll be heading home soon. I’ve got to get packed yet, but I don’t have that much since I’m leaving most things here. Lord willing, I should be home some time Monday evening.

It’s difficult to imagine being back home, this has been my home for a week now. Time sort of stands still. A week here seems like much longer than a week at home.

    See you all soon.
